We
completed a VELUX loft conversion for this semi-detached
property in Esher adding a double bedroom and en-suite.
In the conversion we have
optimised the use of space, keeping the room very open
and enhancing the features of the building such as the
chimney detail behind the bed.
Eight VELUX windows have
been used to maximize natural daylight in the room including
one large window in the en-suite, one providing natural
daylight to the stairwell and then three down each side
of the main area of the room.

can be programmed to open slightly in the morning to
bring in fresh air and you can even programme the blinds
to gradually open so you are slowly woken up with natural
daylight – of course, they can also come with
rain sensors so you don’t get woken up by being
rained on!
