we literally raised the roof! The original pitch of
the roof was not steep enough to allow for the loft
conversion and so we rebuilt it with a steeper pitch.
As can be seen, the new roof is still in keeping with
the character of the property.
This pitched dormer conversion enabled us to create
a space large enough for a double bedroom, bathroom,
dressing room and lounge with study area.
The stairs were built in a wood providing a seamless
continuation of the floor on the level below as well
as to the loft. The glass balustrade of the stairs not
only enhances the modern feel of the interior of the
property but also provides an uninterrupted view both
upstairs and down.
